How an Electrolux dishwasher reports a fault
An Electrolux dishwasher reports lowercase “i” fault codes, plus a few two-letter status codes for normal operation. Reading the code points an experienced technician at a specific part, from the inlet valve to the drain pump to the control board.
The codes you will see
i10 means water did not enter fast enough — a closed supply valve, a kinked hose or a clogged inlet screen. i20 and i40 are the drain-restriction family: a clogged filter or glass trap, a kinked drain hose or a blocked air gap. i30 is a leak or flood-float trip in the base pan. i50 points at the wash motor or circulation pump. i60 and i70 flag a heating fault or a sump thermistor issue. i80 is a control-communication or memory error, and iF0 flags a water-level sensing problem. LOC means the door is locked (normal) and PF is a power-failure indicator, cleared with Start/Cancel.
What to check, and when to call
For an i20, i40 or iF0, clean the filter assembly and glass trap and verify the drain-hose high loop — this resolves most drain and level faults. For an i10, confirm the supply valve is fully open. A PF clears with Start/Cancel and LOC is not a fault. A recurring leak (i30), heating (i60), thermistor (i70) or control (i80, i90) code needs an experienced, independent technician with the correct genuine OEM part.
