Reading an Electrolux model number
Electrolux model numbers look cryptic, but once you can read the prefix you can identify the appliance, its configuration and the parts a repair will need. Every US Electrolux model starts with the letter E. Laundry uses ELFW for the current front-load washer and ELFE/ELFG for electric and gas dryers, with prior-generation EFLS/EFLW and EFME still supported. Dishwashers use EI24ID and prior EIDW models. Refrigeration reads EI and older EW for refrigerators, EILFU for freezers and E15IM for undercounter ice makers. Cooking reads EI30/EW30 prefixes across ranges, wall ovens and cooktops, and E24WC/EI24WC covers wine refrigeration. Laundry and dishwashing families
Washers read as front-load ELFW (ELFW7637AW, ELFW7537AW, ELFW7437AT) with a compact ventless ELFW4222AW, and prior-generation EFLS/EFLW (EFLS527UIW, EFLW317TIW). Dryers read electric ELFE (ELFE7637AW, ELFE7537AT) and gas ELFG (ELFG7637AW, ELFG7537AW), with the compact ventless ELFE4222AW and legacy EFME427UIW. Dishwashers read the current fully-integrated EI24ID (EI24ID81SS) and prior EIDW semi- and fully-integrated builds (EIDW6105GS, EIDW6305GS).
Refrigeration and cooking families
Refrigerators read counter-depth French-door EI23BC (EI23BC35KS, EI23BC82SS), standard-depth French-door EI28BS (EI28BS65KS), the older Wave-Touch-era EW23BC/EW23CS/EW28BS, and ICON built-ins E23BC and E32AR. Freezers read frost-free upright EILFU (EILFU21GS, EILFU17GS) and freezer columns EI33AF/EI32AF. Ranges read electric EI30EF, gas EI30GF and induction EI30IF, with the older Wave-Touch-era EW30ES slide-in. Wall ovens read single and double EI30EW, with older EW30EW and ICON E30EW. Cooktops read induction ECCI3068AS and EW30IC, electric smoothtop EI30EC, and gas or hybrid EW30GC/EW30CC.
Microwave, ice, wine and servicing your model
Microwaves read over-the-range EI30SM/EI30BM and built-in EMBD3010AS. Ice makers are 15-inch ICON undercounter units (E15IM60EBS, UL15IM20RS, UR15IM20RS) plus the automatic icemaker built into a refrigerator. Wine refrigeration reads ICON undercounter and built-in wine columns (E24WC50QS, EI24WC15VS). The rating plate carries the full model string and is usually inside a refrigerator or freezer on a side wall, on the oven door frame, inside a dishwasher tub edge, or on the back of a laundry machine; record the complete string before you book so the correct genuine OEM part is matched the first time.
