Electrolux ovens: series and lineup
Electrolux ovens are 30-inch built-in wall ovens that run the same Electronic Oven Control as the brand’s ranges but have no cooktop. The current single-cavity EI30EW38TS offers 5.1 cu ft, while the current double-cavity EI30EW48TS totals 10.2 cu ft across both ovens. Earlier Wave-Touch-era models include the single EW30EW55GS and the double EW30EW65GS and EW30EW65PS, all with a Meat Probe and Self-Cleaning Convection. At the ICON tier, single ovens include the E30EW75PPS with Dual-Fan Convection, the designer-handle E30EW75ESS, and the E30EW75GPS. Because most of the range is single or double and always electric, a double-oven parts chart simply does not apply to a single unit and vice versa. Technologies and features
Electrolux wall ovens run the same control platform as the brand’s ranges, so they share a recognizable feature set. The current EI30EW models run Perfect Taste Convection and Air Sous Vide alongside IQ-Touch Controls, a Perfect Turkey Button for guided roasting, Luxury-Glide Racks, and a Star-K Sabbath Mode. Legacy Wave-Touch ovens instead ran Self-Cleaning Convection with a Meat Probe. The ICON tier steps further: the E30EW75PPS runs Dual-Fan Convection with a Programmable Temp Probe and is ADA Compliant, the E30EW75ESS uses European Convection with Smooth-Glide Racks, and the E30EW75GPS runs CustomConvect3 with a temperature probe, Halogen Lighting, and a Wave-Touch panel. Because the oven is thermal and electric with no gas or cooktop to complicate the diagnosis, the parts that wear are the bake and broil elements, the oven RTD temperature sensor, the convection element and fan, the self-clean door-lock motor, the cooling fan, and the Electronic Oven Control — all matched to the EI30EW, EW30EW, or ICON E30EW build.
Common issues and maintenance
Electrolux wall ovens share the range F-code family because they run the same Electronic Oven Control. The most common on a wall oven are F1 (a shorted keypad or failed control), F10/F11 (temperature runaway), F13 (a control memory/EEPROM error), F30 (an open oven RTD probe), F31 (a shorted RTD probe), and F90/F91 (self-clean door-latch motor failures). As on the ranges, F10 is the one to respect: it is a safety-critical over-temperature runaway, so disconnect power and leave the oven off until it is repaired. The everyday calls are an oven that will not reach temperature or bakes unevenly, a Self-Clean cycle that will not start or leaves the door locked, and an unresponsive control panel — the last of which is sometimes just the control lock or Sabbath Mode engaged rather than a problem, worth ruling out before swapping a perfectly good control. An oven that bakes hot or cold usually wants the RTD sensor checked against spec before any element is condemned, and F30/F31 are often owner-replaceable once confirmed. Run Self-Clean sparingly, keep the cooling vents clear so the electronics do not overheat, and do not line the oven floor with foil.
